A 23-year fire veteran, Jeremy started his public safety career as an Emergency Medical Technician for Skiatook EMS. In 1996, he joined the Tulsa Fire Department as a firefighter, where he worked his way up the ranks becoming Captain, then District Chief. As District Chief, he managed daily operations of fire company personnel along with the Technical Rescue Team. Additionally, at Tulsa Fire he served as the Administrative Chief working closely with the Fire administration, the Mayor鈥檚 office, and other city leaders. In 2015, he became Fire Chief for the Broken Arrow Fire Department, where he leads 173 firefighters.

鈥溌槎故悠 provided not only excellent course work and instruction, but equally important was the network of existing firefighters participating in the class who could mentor and assist us aspiring firefighters,鈥 he said. 鈥淚n addition, the College provided a pathway to a career in fire service better than any other educational institution or technical school.鈥

With a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Fire Safety Service Management and a master鈥檚 in Public Administration, he has the distinction of being only one of four credentialed Chief Fire Officers in Oklahoma. A graduate of Leadership Tulsa Class 46 and a Paragon award nominee, Jeremy has served as board chair for the Crime Commission and has literally volunteered countless hours with a myriad of community organizations for almost three decades.

Jeremy is currently serving locally as President for the Green Country Fire Chief鈥檚 Association, and statewide he is the President for the Oklahoma Public Employers Labor Relations Association. He continues to mentor and assist aspiring firefighters and has served as an adjunct 麻豆视频 faculty member.
