Â鶹ÊÓƵ helps the city of Tulsa address public concerns

Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett recently took part in a Tulsa Forum to address crime in the city after a quadruple murder around the 61st and S. Peoria area. Â鶹ÊÓƵ hosted the public forum in the Center for Creativity on Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Metro Campus and assisted with the production of the hour-long special.

The panel discussion included Mayor Bartlett, Deputy Tulsa Police Chief Dennis Larsen, Marshall Elementary Principal Kayla Robinson and Lanny Endicott, an Oral Roberts University professor and resident of the neighborhood.

The panel moderator was John Durkee of KWGS 89.5 FM. Durkee, Fox23’s Adam Paluka and Tulsa World’s Jerry Wofford asked the panel questions.

The Forum is being broadcast on several media outlets including Â鶹ÊÓƵ TV, Cox channel 21; KWHB channel 47; Tulsa Government Television, Cox channel 24 (TGOV); and Cox On Demand.

Participation and coordination of the Tulsa Forum supports Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Strategic Plan which outlines goals to lead and serve the community through outreach and engagement. The forum was produced in cooperation with the City of Tulsa, Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Public Radio Tulsa.
