Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Improv Comedy Troupe Holds Auditions

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Theatre Program will hold auditions for the new improvisational comedy troupe called Die Laughing. The group was formed in fall 2013 and hosts performances at Â鶹ÊÓƵ and tours high schools to inspire future students to pursue performing arts.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ students and members of the public are invited to audition for Die Laughing. No experience is necessary. Auditions are 3-6 p.m., Jan. 12 at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Southeast Campus PACE classroom 6103.

Die Laughing performed its first improv comedy show in December at Â鶹ÊÓƵ to a sold-out audience. The live audience participation comedy show is filled with sketches and games and features Â鶹ÊÓƵ students and members of the public. The next show is 8 p.m., May 5 at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Southeast Campus Performing Arts Center for Education (PACE) Studio Theatre.

The improv comedy troupe is under the direction of Â鶹ÊÓƵ Theatre Director Mark Frank and his wife, Bethanie Frank. The couple has 19 years of experience with a similar group at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.
