Safety is a priority at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, and Â鶹ÊÓƵ wants you to know how to stay safe. Â鶹ÊÓƵ has its own Campus Police Department with uniformed officers on all four campuses to ensure students, faculty, staff and members of the community feel safe.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ offers a number of tools and resources to help student, faculty, staff and community members with awareness of their surroundings and knowledge of how to react.

Stolen property, theft and fraud were the top reported crimes in 2013 at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Â鶹ÊÓƵ Campus Police urge you to not keep valuables, such as laptops and phones, in your car. If you do, make sure they are hidden from view.

Here are additional proactive tips for staying safe:

• Educate yourself by reading the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Annual Security Report and Clery Statistics.
• Learn how to protect yourself at the upcoming Rape Aggression Defense Class (RAD) at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Classes start Oct. 13. Enroll.
• Call Campus Police at (918) 595-8888 to report suspicious activity.
• Ask a Campus Police officer to walk you to your car.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Campus Police patrol the Metro, Northeast, Southeast and West campuses 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Campus Police officers are vested with full law enforcement powers and responsibilities identical to Tulsa’s local police department. Campus Police officers are responsible for crime reports, investigations, emergencies, traffic accidents and other incidents that require police assistance.
