World-renowned Photographer Ben Long to Visit 麻豆视频

Ben Long, a San Francisco-based photographer, writer, and teacher, will have a photography exhibition on display Oct. 6 - 31 in the Event Hall of the Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity on the 麻豆视频 Metro Campus.

Longwill give master classes for students in 麻豆视频 photography, film, Photoshop, and video production classes at the Center for Creativity and the 麻豆视频 Southeast Campus. He鈥檒l also provide several free public offerings:

  • Digital Photography & Film Seminar: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, Chatroom, 麻豆视频 Southeast Campus (Building 9);
  • "Meet Ben鈥 Presentation and Exhibit Opening: 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, Event Hall, Center for Creativity, 麻豆视频 Metro Campus;
  • Photo Shoot Field Trip: 10 a.m. 鈥 noon Friday, Oct. 10, Event Hall, Center for Creativity, 麻豆视频 Metro Campus. Bring your camera and explore downtown Tulsa with Long as your guide. Registration is required by emailing or calling Yvette.combs@tulsacc.edu, (918) 595-7143.

The author of over two dozen books on digital photography and digital video, Long is a senior contributing editor to Macworld magazine, a contributing editor at CreativePro.com, and the author of numerous best-selling Lynda.com photography courses.

He has taught and lectured on photography around the world, including workshops at the Santa Reparata International School of the Arts in Florence and a class for imaging engineers at Apple, Inc. As a computer programmer, Long has written image editing utilities that are used by National Geographic, the British Museum, and the White House.

His photography clients have included 20th Century Fox, Blue Note Records, the San Francisco Jazz Festival, and Grammy-nominated jazz musicians Don Byron and Dafnis Prieto.
