Student Wellness Advisory Board (SWAB)
Students on the Student Wellness Advisory Board (SWAB) will provide feedback as well as advocate for the health and wellness of all Â鶹ÊÓƵ students.
SWAB meets virtually once a month during the Fall and Spring semester. All students are welcome and receive an hour for Tulsa Achieves.
Wellness Advocates
If you are interested in having a voice in student wellness and need volunteer hours, this opportunity is for you!
Wellness Advocates will:
- Educate the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community about Wellness Services
- Assist in wellness events
- Raise awareness on wellness topics
- Provide information and resources to students
Peer Health Education Program Scholarship
The primary role of a Peer Health Educator is to develop and implement health education and awareness programs with the goal of improving the long-term healthy behaviors of Â鶹ÊÓƵ students. Health education topics include stress management, healthy sleep habits, mental health, sexual health, alcohol and drug prevention, suicide prevention, healthy relationships and more.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Â鶹ÊÓƵ student
- Must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
- Interested in health and wellness
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Must be in good conduct standing with Â鶹ÊÓƵ
- Support the goals, expectations, and mission of Wellness Services and Â鶹ÊÓƵ
- Be able to commit approximately 3 hours per week
The scholarship application process opens each Spring semester.
